Relining drainage pipes is an great way of installing a new one by inserting inside the old. Relining a cracked or displaced drain is an ideal way to avoid the need for digging the original out.
The pipe liner is a felt sleeve that is impregnated with a resin formula. Once installed in the pipe, it is inflated by air. This holds the liner snuggly within the drain and moulds it to the sides of the original while the resin sets it in place.
Tree roots usually cause the worst type of damage to drains. However, even if roots have ingressed into a drain it does not mean it has to be dug out to be replaced. We use the latest root removal equipment which will remove most root damage. A liner is then inserted which will help prevent tree roots from re-growing through the pipe.
Pitch-fibre drainage systems often cause severe problems for the home owner. The pipe lines can deteriorate through many reasons. Pitch fibre pipe often blister on the inside or starts to loose its shape and appear squashed which causes blockages. This usually meant the only option available for repair was to excavated, both costly and time consuming, however, recently, advances mean that deformed or de-laminated pitched fibre can be repaired by re-forming the pipe and installing a liner.
A special device is winched through the damaged drain and re-opens the pipe allowing a liner to be installed. Once the liner has set the drain is left in excellent working order.
Clay pipes always have joins & can crack & break overtime. Our liners are on continuous length with no joins so cannot crack or break to allow roots. These liners do not rely on the existing drains structural integrity.
